Chasing a mammoth target of 557, England find themselves in deep trouble on Day 4 of the fourth Test against India in Rajkot. The visitors lost four early wickets with less than 30 runs on the board with Ravindra Jadeja striking twice. Jasprit Bumrah was the other wicket-taker for India while Ben Duckett, who scored 153 in the first innings, got run out for cheap. Riding on Yashasvi Jaiswal's double century, India declared their second innings on 430/4, setting England an improbable target of 557 runs.

Jaiswal, who retired hurt on Day 3, came back to bat on Day 4, adding another 110 runs to his score of 104 on Saturday. The 22-year-old hit 14 fours and 12 sixes to remain unbeaten on 214.

After Shubman Gill missed out on his century by nine runs, run out on 91, Jaisal and Sarfaraz Khan added an unbeaten 172 runs for the fifth wicket.

Sarfaraz played second fiddle to Jaiswal during the partnership, smashing 68 off 72 balls.

Sarfaraz acknowledged Jaiswal's contribution as he pushed the youngster to lead the walk towards the dressing room after Rohit Sharma's declaration before Tea.
